anybody used ilford multigrade express paper ?

hi all

has anybody used ilford multigrade express paper

it seems to be 640asa
I was thinking of making a strobe enlarger type
device for some pictograms

Note that that speed is paper ISO, not film asa. Standard Ilford Multigrade has a speed of P500, so not massively different?

No reason why a flash can't expose it though. For a photogram you could even just dangle a light bulb above the easel . . . or even set it swinging. . . ideas, hmmmm.

I have used some that I got from a pal who has a few hundred feet as a 5" wide roll.

It works fine optically exposing it. A bit faster than normal MG, as others have noted. More like some old Oriental I use once in a while

I cut it to 4x5, and used it for copntact prints of 4x5 negs, and used the last of it up on a postcard exchange mailing.

The only drag with roll cut paper is the curl.
