I picked up a lens at an estate sale and I wondered if anyone had any experience with this line or this lens:

Komuranon-S
6 Elements in 4 Groups
f75/5.6

The lens appears unused/mint, the inner box was sealed and the and there is an old price sticker for $89.99 on the box. I bought that and an (apparently) unused El-Nikkor 50mm f4 very cheap.

Is it an enlarging lens?

Komura made aftermarket lenses for Bronica S and EC series cameras and Nikon in the 1960s. They probably OEM'ed some other brands over the years. They also made some LF lenses. I think today they make high-end video lenses.

Here is a photo of the box and front

I bought my first 50mm komuranon-S in 1980 from a Leica dealer, who said it was "very close" to the Leitz Focotar, which it is, with high contrast and a rich, sunny "Legendary" look. The Komura-S has even more brilliance than my Leitz Focotar-2, though less resolution. The Leitz will make a print look like a million dollars, but the Komura will make it look like a billion dollars!

One of the few 75mm, six-element lenses out there. I have one. You might need this if you have an autofocus Omega D3 with the 75mm track. The Nikkor 75mm is a 4 element lens BTW.
