Any tricks to thinking in meters than feet

Nails were originally sold as a price, in pennies, per hundred.

A 10-penny nail cost 10 pennies per hundred. A smaller 6-penny nail cost six pennies per hundred.

The "d" stands for the Roman, "denarius," which was similar to a penny in Great Britain where that was the abbreviation for "penny" before the currency was decimalized.

No. We were decimalised!

How much would the Threepenny Opera cost now?

I don't know but they now have to make do with fivers instead of tenors.

I don't think it took him long, but the music took a Weill.

BTW, for the first production Brecht didn't have enough money to pay a lead actress, so Weill said Kurtly, "Don't worry. I've got a Lotte Lenya."

Sometimes I am amazed to compare first and last (?) posts on a subject. To ask about metric/feet conversion and progress to dreigroschen puns on Brecht/Weill is a masterpiece in the digressive genre.

Yes, I wonder what the OP thinks? A couple of those puns were of almost supernatural atrocity.

Not to mention that it's in the "Exposure" subforum in the first place. Beautiful.

First post.

Haaaa, I love this thread, I've learned a ton (or kilo)! Nothing wrong with having fun along the way...
