....pertaining to scanners and scanning software? I am going to be developing my first rolls of film this month and I need to invest in a scanning setup. I plan on shooting no larger than medium format, but I will be using 35mm for the most part. I am looking for something that will produce results acceptable for printing up to 8x10, 8x12, 10x10, and thereabouts. If it makes any difference, I will be shooting only b&w. I heard that I should avoid Canon scanners and that Epson's V series scanners do a great job. The most important point I should make a note of: I would like to keep my spending under $350 or so. Thanks in advance for any info provided!

Side note: I've heard mixed opinions regarding silverfast's software, anyone use it and/or have an opinion?

BTW: Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section, I am brand new here.

Don't worry - APUG and DPUG are sisters, and everyone knows how well all siblings get along :smile:.
