Hello,

I recently got a Graflex Norita 66. I love the feel of this camera in my hands. I was wondering if anybody here was shooting with one? What are the best Noritar lenses to buy besides the 80mm? Which ones do you like the most?

Thanks,

Jamie

I have a Norita 66 with the 80mm lens, although I think it's been at least 4 years since I put a roll through it. Nothing to do with the camera, I just moved on to LF work. I found it a good camera to use, although the shutter reminds me of a small calibre rifle firing... I believe it was designed by the same person who designed the original Nikon F, but Nikon decided not to venture into MF and passed on it. Accessories and lenses are indeed very hard to come by and consequently go for very large prices on auction sites. It would be great if it were possible to create an adapter for the Norita to use Pentacon/Kiev lenses, does anyone out there know if that has been attempted?

My local camera shop has some Norita equipment in stock but it is priced so high that I will never be able to afford it and they will probably not sell it.

I sent my Norita out for a CLA , like I do with most of my older SLR cameras after I find them on ebay. I shipped it to Ross Yerkes in LA, he is the Norita expert. Just got it back, it is wonderful! It works like new! Very Smooth! I love how this camera feels in my hands. Very solid and robust. I shoot with the Pentacon 6 and exakta 66 cameras already, (love the zeiss lenses) but the build of this camera feels even more solid than they are. Now I will have to compare the optics.

I use 1 & love it.

Actually, I believe it was designed by the guy behind the Canon F1, not the Nikon F.

Besides the 80/2, the Norita lens w/the best reputation is the 40/4.

The Breech lock type mount style on the lens looks a lot like the Cannon F1 lens mount.

Hello, Jamie! Jay here. Yes, the best lenses to buy are the ones I have for sale! for everyone else, please go to delphiforums and hit Norita 66 in the forum search box. This website is around eight years old and has tons of Norita information. $2,400 takes all!! Once it goes on ebay in a little while, it will go for more $$$$. Good luck.

Hey everyone in this forum. You can see eight years worth of forum on the Norita 66 camera by going to my website at delphiforums.com Then type in Norita 66 in the search box. Not a great place to post photos because the host wants a lot of money monthly, but just to talk and exchange info it is a great site! Regards.
