I cut my own film, for use with 9x12 and a 3x4, from 4x5 film, I have left over strips that I usually throw out.
There great for testing your fixer, from time to time, so before I put these in the trash, does anyone have a need that lives in the USA? There from Arista 400 & 200.. AKA Foma.
I have about three groups.. so can send off three sets ...
If you can use them, send me a PM with address, and will mail them to ya.
I think this is a wonderful idea. For freshness of fixer I don't think the manufacurer or speed of film would matter.
I shoot 4x5 film which comes 25 sheets to a box. 12 film holders hold 24 sheets which leaves one left over. Now I have a use for the extra sheet. Cut it into a half dozen or so 4 inch strips ad have an abundance of test strips.
Thanks for the idea.
Save the sheet, and send me your address..
BTW.. the test strips are also good, to test some developer that has been laying around for a while.. you develop it, and it should be all black..
Great idea... or I having having had to already sacrifice 3/4" end and side from each sheet, you can use, and save ur roll, and not even have to go to the darkroom
