Any Minolta AutoMeter II users out there?

I was just given a Minolta Autometer II.

I love the one handed operation and the full Shutter/Aperture scale on the motorized dial.

However, the manual seems to indicate that for reflective readings the Viewfinder 10 degree is needed. I did not get the viewfinder attachment.

Does anyone know if the viewfinder attachment is truly needed for reflective readings. And, if so will the later 10 and 5 degree viewfinders made for the later models fit and work.

I've got the earlier Autometer Professional, which is somewhat similar. Yes, you need the additional reflective reading attachment. See this website for the manual (free, but the site owner would appreciate a donation):
