What is the best product to use for felt replacement? Who sells it? Thanks for the help Pioneer, I prefer using the original metal caps 'cause even with a ding or scratch they protect a bit better than plastic.
I just went down to the craft shop and bought a piece of green wool felt that was not coarse and had some flex to it. I looked for something that felt like the felt on the pool table.
I cleaned out the old and then cut and glued a new ring of felt in. I used the end of a round pen barrel at a slight angle to compress the felt at the outer edge so it would slide onto the lens without peeling back. My first attempt was not so good because of this. Believe me, the caps are tight and do not come off unless I want them to.
I really love my Bessa R2A camera, right now I'm using the Industar L/61? But have orderd a Nokton 40mm 1.4 lens for it. I hope I get it sooon, cant wait to go out and shoooot.
I do have a lot of diffrent cameras but in the end my bessa always goes with me. Its light and still have all the funktions you need out in the field. Only the lens has been my let down so far. Its a good lens for the price range tho.
