any ideas for photo session with death metal band?

With it being autumn in the northern hemisphere, I might like to get them in a stoney creek bed surrounded by bare trees, shoot infrared.

I don't think there is any reason why you should not give them what they want but then try some different things. You should make up a list of all the interesting and appropriate venues (areas, fields, old factories) easily available to you and see where that takes you. I once had a gritty closed-down steel manufacturing factory available to me complete with crumpled 500-foot smoke stack laying on the ground. It was a license to steal as far as getting some "different" photos was concerned. You need to mine the areas available and find the gold vein.

I see they have a Facebook page now: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Grevil/194531008134. There are some photos, but I don't know if they were done by the OP---who unfortunately hasn't been heard from since 2011, so I guess we'll never know how it went.
