Please PM me or post a reply if you are looking for a good home for a functional Kodak folder w/100mm f/4.5 Anastigmat Special. Beggars can't be choosers, so I've done my best to keep my criteria as general as possible
In order of most-preferred to least, here are some examples of what I'm looking for: Monitor Six-20, Special 620, Vigilant Six-20, Monitor Six-16, Vigilant Six-16
Thanks!
J

Something from a Tourist? I have a set of cells somewhere, the shutter roached out years ago. I have a really good Rodinstock Trinar in a Compur shutter from a 6x9.

Thanks for the reply. I apologize for not making myself perfectly clear- I am looking for a functional camera, not parts.

must it be a kodak? I have a nice Zeiss Ikonta here, 4.5 Tessar, decent shape I could let you have cheap. What's cheap? $40 and I'll pay the postage. Leather case. Compur shutter needs service but is all there and just needs a good lube job. The only larger kodaks I have with an anastigmat are f 8.

Thanks for the offer! What model Ikonta? I would consider under $50 to be cheap. How bad is the shutter?
I bought a Kodak Monitor Six-16 with 127mm f/4.5 that I plan to modify to 6x10.8 format off the auction site today, but decided not to close the thread in case something goes wrong.

It is an early Ikonta, model 520/2. The shutter seems complete but the shutter doesn't work on any of the slower speeds because it is so dry, and I have no desire to try to lube it up, although a little cleaner would probably do the job. It is priced accordingly. Interested, my email/paypal is

summicron12000@yahoo.com

and I'll need a good mailing address. If ur really far from Utah a little extra to help with the postage would be appreciated but not required.

I do have a 1914 Kodak Special No.1, a 6x9 folder with Cooke triplet in Optimo shutter. However, I love it so I don't want to sell at this time. If you are looking for a nice 6x9 camera I suggest either a Kodak Medalist or a Voigtlander Bessa RF with Heliar lens. The Bessa is a folder, the Medalist is not. Both are great!
