I can imagine park rangers setting this up at Half Dome so they can discourage people from hanging around that area too much Then the'll wonder how you can see the LCD on the back of that honking 8x10 camera you have.

And, to PeterB., it is probably possible to design an EMP device that can fry (or at least seriously, temporarily screw up) a digicam form maybe 5 or 10 feet; you might be able to fit it in a duffel bag, backpack or large breifcase. Really all you'd need would be a pre-charged capacitor bank connected to a big coil, triggered by a big SCR or spark cagp However, destroying equipment wasn't the point of the device, and this is not the forum to discuss EM weapons...
