Im planning to get a glass negative carrier to my DE VERE 504.can i just let someone cut a piece of glass and sand it to the form of my 4x5 glassless film holder,and im good to go,or should i care for this anti newton glass?
couldnt i put a small ruler around the carrier,just bit thicker than the negative,that wouldnt let the 2 glass press the negative together(as far as i know thats when the rings occur)but keep my negs sortof flat,much more than as they are now..and anyways, i stop the lens down 2 stops at least if i print.
if i get a 4x5 glass that i can print every format i use(under 4x5) with that.(and i would love to "upgrade" up my Omega super chromega E 5x7 enlarger with a glass carrier too..)
any experience?
