Thanks, I saw that at B+H, but the cost is over $30 with shipping.
I learned that Freestyle has it listed under another name: Moersch Restrainer Neutral, less expensive than B+H.
Benzotriazole dissolves sparingly in water, but better in an alkaline solution. I read somewhere that Orthazite was just benzotriazole in a mildly alkaline solution which I think was just sodium sulphite. The sodium sulphite would have a negligible effect on any developer.
I, like Ian, also have a lifetime plus supply of BZT needles ( 96 or so of original 100g on hand presently I think). If I am more local I would be pleased to mail you a few grams. PM me if you are interested.

BZT dissolves easily in alcohol. I mix a 1% solution dissolving the chemical in 200ml rubbing alcohol, add water to make a liter. Easy. Quick.
Once I used a liter of alcohol to dissolve it, not knowing any better. Almost fumed me out of the darkroom putting a mere ounce in a tray of developer!
