For Sale FS: Exakta VX w/58mm f2 Biotar-SOLD

For sale is a very nice Exakta VX with the 58mm f2 Biotar. I just hardly do any film photography anymore; enlargers just sitting in the garage with nowhere to set them up. So I've decided to liquidate most of my film cameras.

This camera is in excellent shape, shutters speeds seem to be correct (I exercise it regularly), inside is very clean, even has the flash connection (which is a brass connection you connect to the camera on either side of the body for M or X).

The lens is the cult classic 58mm F2 CZ Jena Biotar. It's the pre-set model with 12 blade aperture; I'm guessing from the serial number both camera and lens are circa 1952 (the year I was born so you know it's great). The filter thread is slightly damaged but a filter will still mount.

After researching the body a little more, I've dropped the price. Now asking $140 shipped in the US. I've seen the just lens sell on Ebay for over $200.

I think that lens would be great on one of my M42 cameras, including a Canon F1, for which I do have the Canon M42 'Pentax' mount, but I have to find some other gear first, so, good luck with such a beautiful lens and camera, I'm really surprised no one had snatched it up when first offered.
