Answering Some Conference Questions

There's a park up Mount Pleasant called Sherwood Park. Not sure how far a walk from the hotel. It's a popular park for dog walkers and nannies etc etc..

For a pleasant walk to the conf, you can always cut through Leaside which is a very leafy, upper middle class neighbourhood.

I'll take my camera carrying baby jogger and fit right in with the nannies. My usual Labrador walking buddy is going to have to miss this trip.

Thanks,

John Powers

The area around the Roehampton is a fairly safe area. You may wish to avoid the Chik 'n Deli pub, unless you wish to be jumped by 40-50 something divorcees!

It should be a nice walk to the conference. Not too far and I'm betting the weather won't be very warm. Plus, you can't see much in a taxi.

I'm usually pretty sweaty after these. More than you wanted to know. I will probably not walk to the conference and torture my neighbor.

Exhibitors:

If you are shipping trade show booths and merchandise to the show, track your individual packages closely. One of mine is currently hung up somewhere in the Windsor hub while the other 3 are on their way to Elevator. I have asked UPS to start the search.

I just thought of something... I am driving to Toronto and I am wondering if there will be a problem bringing in my stuff to develop negatives... chemicals, reels, etc.?

Unless you have some esoteric stuff, you can prolly get it in Toronto. I know a shop that has a pyramid of Rodinal lol

Jeanette,

You might want to talk to Bob first before bringing chemicals. I know that he will be open 24/7 during the conference and will have staff to process any film - B&W or colour. It might be easier for you and will let you concentrate on having other 'liquid fun' instead!

Regards, Art.

Thanks Dinesh but,

My wife just let me live after I admitted to buying a 7x17, three film holders and film. At 66 I have my priorities and know to whom I should be faithful. Besides my Labrador buddy is also female and she would bitch, bitch, bitch.

This is great! I wasn't aware of this. It'll make things a lot easier on the way back home.
