This one would be perfect for . . . an antique conversation piece . . . a rather handsome paperweight . . . a large antique lens for a display camera in the living room or studio.

It's not much good for taking pictures. I tried. Woof. Zero contrast.

Somebody got after the front light with a copper brillo pad me thinks. Millions of micro scratches.

Junk. Can't afford a Spencer - Portland?? Buy this, at least it's a Spencer. $40 shipped in USA

Might be good for portraits?

SOLD!! to a guy who's going to make some paper negatives on 8X10 with it! Brilliant!

1st try. I certainly didn't get the negative exposed right, but I was getting tired of guessing, so I moved on.

Ha ha, BRAVO! You probably had some bellows factor because of the close focus. Very nice.

What that lens actually does for you is akin to learning to drive in a Model AA 1 1/2 ton truck with 4 speed crash box. Once you drove that, everything else is easier

Thanks Jim. I took it apart to clean some internal dust and found the other three elements to be in beautiful shape and also was able to turn an inner ring that unveiled a slot for filter? IDK, looks like a spot for waterhouse stops, but that can't be right as it has an aperture. Whatever, I love this thing already. I did have 25" of bellows extension.

Here is a thread I started with all the specs (there was a url link here which no longer exists).

Thanks again
