I just got a package of slides back from Dale Labs. In the package was a note that they are discontinuing their service of making colour slides from colour negatives as of July 31. (!)

The suggest that you can use ELITECHROME if you need both Slides and prints, and helpfully include an order form for ASA 100 and 200 Rolls.

This has been the way I have had slides made when I wish to give a talk. They have been printing them on Kodak Vision Motion Picture film.

Dale also discontinued the processing of short lengths of motion picture film (ECN-2) at the end of July.

I did not see that mentioned, although one of my rolls was in fact Fuji Eterna 500T. I wonder if I just lucked in under the wire. The slide mounts were from about July 17.

I emailed them mid july to ask if they did this process as I have some film I bought from A&I a couple of years ago. Dale replied they would cease this service on July 31. That was too tight for me to try & get the film to them from Sydney as most of it has not been shot yet. I wanted to find a place that was doing it before I expose it. I have since contacted The Camera Shop in Minnesota & they said they are still doing ECN-2. $7.50 develop only per roll.

Here it is August 4th, and their web site still says they do E-6 processing: http://www.dalelabs.com/frontpagelink_filmprocessing.html
I haven't heard anything, but if they do, guess I'll start processing E-6 myself. Not that hard, but I don't find processing and mounting slides as much fun as B&W printing.

Yep, that is what they sugest to their customers who used to use their slides from negs service. Not quite the same thing.

Dale told me that they would keep the ECN-2....Dale does a great job with E-6 and the scans that they can make for you at the time of processing are superb!
