Another RZ Pro II question

I just got an RZ Pro II body. It is in great condition, but I noticed that there is a slight resistance in the focusing at about the half way point (a little over 20mm bellows extension). I also noticed that it kind of snaps into place at both ends of the focusing range. I was thinking (hoping actually) that the little 'bump' in the middle might be by design as a divider between normal focusing range and macro focusing range where bellows factor compensation starts becoming an issue. Is this normal with the Pro II, or is there an issue with the focusing rail on this camera?

I just checked my RZ Pro II, although I've never felt what you describe, and again, there is no detent or bump throughout the entire travel of the focus rail.

The focusing is supposed to work without any "bumps". Your focusing gears need service og need to be replaced in order to make it work as smooth as it should be. I had my focusing gears replaced on my ProII earlier this year. I don not really know what made the focusing "bumpy" on my camera, but probably it was a transport damage. Be aware to close the focusing bellows and lock it with the handle at the focusing wheel before transporting.
