My interests these days are mainly in the video world so websites showcasing video centric news is where I spend most of my online time. Here is an interesting article about a female movie director. It's worth reading. Seems not much has changed in the movie industry.

Ida Lupino was a fantastic movie director and actress. She always stayed busy, and was highly sought out for her directing talents. Gutsy, sharp, beautiful woman. There may not have been many female directors, but then there haven't been that many GOOD directors, period.

Wow! That's a great story, and sad. Many years ago I took my film history courses, but she was never mentioned. She was there at the birth of the cinema and apparently a major contributor. Thanks for sharing!
I have to disagree though about "not much has changed in the movie industry." Back when I was somewhat involved the only names up on the credits other than actors were men. There are so many women working above and below the line now, its a good thing!
