Hello All,

I'm putting together my workshop schedule for this next year and wanted to reserve dates for a repeat of this year's gathering. I'm hoping we can get lightning to strike again and have another great time of it up in the woods. A lot of those that attended this year mentioned adding some time on to the next one, so I've decided to start it on a Tuesday and run through the weekend. That way there will be much more time for shooting and exploring more areas. Those that can't make it early can still join us for the weekend.

I'm looking at starting on June 19 and run through to Sunday the 24th. Basically the same weekend as this year. Not too cool, but not into scorcher weather yet. I won't do the poll thing this time as I am putting this on the calendar early. Hopeful all of you that want to attend will pencil it in and protect the time so you can join us.

Those interested can see info on this year's gathering HERE.

I will soon be posting the schedule for the next year on the site and will have all info up at that time. Hope to see everyone again as well as some new faces!

Bill, I am definitely in and I can't wait. I just wish it was not so far away.

I hear you on that John. I'm ready. It's great to hear you all are coming back... and Joe, I'll see you up there soon. I miss the smell of ether in the morning.

Tempting.... very tempting...
Join us Suzanne! I'm hoping others from around the country (world?) will come. I don't want this to be exclusive or a regional thing. Everyone is welcome. With more days, perhaps it will draw folks from farther away. Even though we're pretty remote, we have regional airport very close with 4 major flights a day. You can practically fly to our driveway!

Be careful what you wish for Dan! Yes... He is still alive. I'm guessing my neighbors might start to wonder. I'm already thinking the stories are flying about the naked lady and the crazy guy with the lunar module tent!

"Photostock" Hmmmmmm..... Party On!! Excellent!!!!

:D

I would love to see and photograph the backwoods of Michigan, but the distance is too far to commit to right now. But, I'll put it in my calendar.

Hi Bill, joined APUG a few days ago, and saw this message. Sounds like a very nice outing. I have penciled in the dates. Is there an itinerary or any additional details you could provide to give us newbies an idea of the format?
Thanks a ton.

Hi Cody,

You can check out some photos of last year HERE as well as DOWNLOAD a basic outline from this year. It is a loose affair, but seemed to work well. You will be more than welcome. This year it will be a longer gathering and I will try to have something optional for all to do... like a trip to Mackinaw Island or to one of the lighthouses... we'll see what I can come up with.

Thanks Bill. Back in the mid to late 90's I spent almost 3 years traveling all over Michigan working on radio towers, and really enjoyed the northern areas. This works well because my wifes family is in Grand Rapids, so planning a trip to Michigan is always easy for us to do. Take care and looking forward to 2007!!

I'm going to try to get there- it sounds great! I'd love to see Joe do some wet plates, and would bring a few cirkuts along to shoot with. I've only been to the U.P. so it would be fun to go farther afield.

Hi Jamie!

Happy to hear you may join us. It really is a great time and you will be most welcome. If you do make it, you can have the assignment of a group shot with that Cirkut.

Sounds good. As long as people run around and are in it a few times. They can hold different cameras on either end. It makes things more interesting

Bill,

I'm very interested in attending your meeting next summer. Do I need to sign up here or just confirm next Spring ? Also, is there a fee or deposit needed?

Thanks,
Gary P.

Hi Bill Still thinking of the 19th to the 24th?
I tend to need to plan ahead before everyone esle in the family makes plans first. Thanks, Jamie
