Still a great admirer of the work that you and Thomas B. do. Without having met, we are strangers except online (so to speak), but I am always observant of the posts by both of you and motivated and encouraged greatly. So, too, join the kudos.
I was wondering how long it will take for us to acknowledge Andrew and in my opinion Thomas should be next. I'm glad this thread was initiated, thanks to the OP. Andrew, thank you for tons of inspiration, you make my day every time I open one of your thumbnails in the gallery. Your talent and perseverance paid off.
I just noticed this thread and late to get my word in ... Andrew is very talented and what makes him special is that he shares freely from his knowledge base. I had the opportunity to meet the core of the Minnesota APUG including Thomas B.(great guy!) and am so impressed with the level of talent they exhibit. I wish I could spend more time with them! Thanks guys for you exceptional contribution.
Andrew is quite an inspiration to me. I always look forward to viewing his latest masterpiece(s). And hopefully, this upcoming winter, I can make it to Minnesota to finally photograph with Andrew (and Thomas & Ike, etc.). It would be an honor to photograph with the "James Brown of Photography,...as Mike C so accurately stated.
Keep up the great work, Andrew, and we'll see you next week at Photostock '09!
Anyone with a palindromic name is destined to be exceptional, and Andrew certainly is! I love his work, and am frequently inspired to produce more than I otherwise would because I get excited to see so many new, and excellent 'graphs of his.
Who would have expected that the near polar mid-west would become the most prolific and interesting photo site in the USA. All you guys out there are ratcheting up the ante! Good on ya!
Very keen to add to this lovefest atmosphere (hope that makes him blush some more!) but not only to comment favourably on the quality of his images but also for the fact that he takes so much time and trouble to comment on and support the work of others. I know when I post an image, if there's a comment from Andrew I know it'll be worth reading.
More than just an inspiration. He is kind, generous, and a great amabassador for the medium. I say Andrew for President
A fitting tribute to an exceptional talent...I weep every time a see one of his sepia tone, lightly bleached back and selenium toned prints...and that is on a screen!!

Having met him (and after seeing his work here), he's at least as nice as you'd guess. So many people in this world who are good with a technique aren't open about sharing how to do it. Andrew is so willing to help anyone learn what he knows - it's just great (and you can't beat the accent). I'm sure he's blushing again, but people who are good should be told so.
I never pass any of Andrew's images in the gallery without stopping to have a look. I am always impressed by his talent. I really admire his work, he is one of my favorite photographers on apug. I would love to have one of his prints hanging in my home some day.
