There is no expectation of privacy in public. If he is on the sidewalk, anything he can see he can photograph.

I saw that he talks to and engages some of his subjects positively.

21mm lens.... he is definitely not hiding, and apparently not shooting gary winogrand/bruce gilman "in your face!" style.

it seems his subjects are aware of his presence and not put off - at least from the pictures i've seen. i like his work

seems a nice guy.

He is very respectful, usually chats with people before or after, I have met him a few times walking around NYC. Nice guy, does great work.
