Hello,

I started to use an Analyser Pro and am very satisfied so far. I have two questions related to graded papers though:

1. Can I simply use the recommended/measured exposure time? There are no filters to dial in as for VC papers, that's why I ask.

2. How does calibration work? Would I just measure speed and contrast as for VC papers but only for the paper grade?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I use an analyser, and when I use it with a graded paper (slavich) I don't use a filter. When I calibrated I set up the exposure calibration for the single grade and set that when I use the analyser. I set the contrast calibration without the filter. It's an interesting question, and I'm not sure thinking about it if this is the correct method.

Same here. Ran through the calibration steps with the step wedge, and punched the numbers in. One "Paper" is reserved for fixed grade paper, and up to seven grades can be stored. Means having to keep notes so that (for example):
  • PAP8 G00 = Adox Nuance G2
  • PAP8 G0 = Ilfobrom G2
  • PAP8 G1 = Ilfobrom G3
  • PAP8 G2 = Slavich Unibrom G3

Once the exposure & contrast offsets are programmed in, pick your min/max points as per normal and then pick the PAP/Grade for the paper in question.
