On the contrary, Jags are utterly reliable. They will drip oil, give trouble with the electrics, and nickel and dime you to death. Count on it.


Years ago I was working on an XK 140, and was wondering how to deal with the oil leaks. The advice was "just pour more oil in the engine" which held, IIRC, 17 quarts.

When asked about miles per gallon, the standard response was, "Gas or oil?"
