Hello everybody,

I invite you to this new initiative : the first Analog Photo Day. Everydody can participate .

As you will see we try to multi-languages.

English : Dead Link Removed

German : Dead Link Removed

Deutch : Dead Link Removed

Spanish : Dead Link Removed

Arabic : Dead Link Removed.

While I haven't yet seen a mention of it, 08/08/08 is theoretically Argus Day; ("Argust 8th"). This sounds like a perfect chance to accomplish two things at once.

(My C3 is about as analogue as it gets ...)

Excuse my ignorance, but was is Argus Day? :confused:

I know what is Argus but not the "day".

Every day is analogue photo day here of course, but something like this looks like fun and if it can get some coverage it can help go against the idea that digi is the only way to go amongst the greater public.

Oops, sorry, almost missed your question. Since 2001, a group calling itself the "Argus Collectors Group" has organized a one day event, "Argus Day," where one is supposed to go out and take photos with an Argus camera. They have picked a date of August n, 200n, so last year it was August 7th. They have gotten cute and referred to the day as "Argust 7th" or whatever. (Not sure if it is planned to be mn for 20mn when we hit 2010.)

It appears to be a fairly small group and so far I've seen nothing about an event for this year -- which should fall on Argust 8th , according to the algorithm. Anyhow, I've shot a roll with my C3 for Argus Day the last two years, so this year it could work for both events.

The ACG does have some repair manuals online which I found handy for doing a CLA on my C3.

Great coincidence.

This camera looks great. I love to take picture with old cameras.

What?! I though EVERY day was Analog Photo Day?

Honestly, why promote a single day on *this* Website, which is the same exact thing as Analog Photo Day, but every day? Why not try convincing the boobs at Photo.net, the McPhoto Website?

("On the 08/08/08, all over the world,
you are invited to shoot a non digital picture, and to put it online in our gallery"

This above quote is just funny sounding!)

Some news of this event.

Things have work very well, we have set up Dead Link Removed . We are looking for other cities for this exposition. Thank you very much for those who have participate, and for those who have visisted the Dead Link Removed.
