Hello all. I hope this finds everyone doing well.

A bit of some history on me first. I'm basically a portrait photographer. I shoot High School seniors, small children, weddings, and some Catalog work in Chicago. I've only been shooting film for around 9 months. My first film camera was my Mamiya RB67. Now I have a Graphlex Graphic View 4x5, which I love to shoot. I've also started up my own Darkroom. I really enjoy printing, and everything that goes with it. Currently using a Beseler as my enlarger.

I've always loved to view some of the beautiful landscapes that I see in Ireland, mainly the seaside landscapes. There's not much here in the way of great looking landscapes where I'm located. What I would like to do, is to offer this to anyone who would like to participate.

I would like to mail some 4x5 b/w film to a couple of photographers in Ireland that would like to participate. I would like for them to shoot some of my film while they're out shooting their own landscapes, especially seascapes. I would pay for the postage of that film back to me as well.

What I want to do is to attempt to print those images to hang on the wall in the studio, and enjoy them. Of course, if someone by some wild chance wanted prints from those negatives I would be more than honored to print them, and mail back to the photographer.

Please keep in mind, my intention is not to sell prints. I just know I'll never get to Ireland, and would love to be able to get the chance to print some of that beautiful country from a 4x5 negative.

So that's pretty much it in a nutshell. If anyone would like to participate in this, please feel free to email me at phillip@keepsakephotography.us If you don't. That's OK with me as well. I hope this isn't against the forum rules as well. I'm really new to the site too.

My website is www.keepsakephotography.us

All the best to each of you.

Warmest,
Phillip in TN.

Hi Phillip,

Sounds like a very good idea. There are a few 4x5 shooters here so hopefully they will consider taking part. I don't shoot 4x5 myself but have recently got the Harman Titan 4x5 Pinhole camera so not sure if that interests you.

Good luck with the idea.

Hi there Fizz....

I actually enjoyed looking through your B/W gallery last night. Great looking work. Do you print work yourself in a darkroom? I don't mind sending you some b/w film to use while your shooting your stuff if that's something you'd like to consider.

I'll try my best to print some of it, and will mail you back prints if you like. I'm still rather new to printing, but love experimenting with papers and filters. I have a couple empty 4x5 boxes along with the black plastic the original film came in. You don't have to develop the film. Just shoot it, and mail it back.

Send me an email as to where I can mail the film off too, and we'll give it a shot  [pun intended] and go more into detail has to how I can cover your postage back to me.
