I saw this listed on eBait. It looks interesting, and is sure cheap. I learned a long time ago not to buy most of anything out of the US due to the cost of a return, if needed, but this one has me tempted a little. His description is a bit ingenious, which is the norm for that area of the world it seems, and the only similarity to his developer and D76 seems to be that it uses the same times according to his own description. I find the idea of being able to simply dissolve a tablet into water and start developing fascinating. This particular developer doesn't do that, but he included it into his history on the ad.
I think there is every reason to believe it will arrive. He has too many sales and too much to lose to be a fly-by-night. The length of time it lasts is a bit worrying. He claims to have disproved its two days only life and can state a week but unless you have a lot of films to develop even 7 days isn't long
Did you see the examples of film he developed? There were no examples I could see but that may be because it has all been sold.
It all sounds fascinating in a "Quietly Flows The Don" sort of way
Don't know anything about the developer, but I like his pictures. Anyone who knows more about this developer? Seems to be a phenidone-hydroquinone based developer from what I could find.
I remember X-22, it was a MQ acutance developer based on the same principles as the Beutler developer. Also similar were Ethol Blue and Ethol TEC. The last time I looked TEC was still being manufactured. For anyone interested in this type of developer the Beutler formula could not be easier to mix. Only 3 ingredients metol, sodium sulfite and sodium carbonate. When I was a "starving" college student it was my developer of choice for its very low cost.
