Alternatives to the Jobo processor clean algeacide

Any suggestions of alternatives to the Jobo product? - the Jobo documentation strongly cautions against chlorine based products.

I would think the stuff you can get for home humidifiers would work, which is not chlorine based.

There are non chlorine cleaner/sanitizers for homebrewing too...EC

In the 30+ years that I have used Jobo equipment, I have never used any cleaner other than hot water. I have never had a problem.

That said, I can say that Thymol in water is a good disinfectant if you think you need one, and has no bad effects on film, but it must be removed thoroughly or it can leave a residue on the reels or tanks. It is gone when the odor is gone.

Amaloco H16 for the water bath 5ml/ltr, based on Phosphoric Acid. But I agree that when using hot water for cleaning, everything will be fine.
