I used to work for a photography department at a university. The photographer never used sleeves. He used an empty sealed letter sized envelope cut in half. I was his assistant and I would have to cut the negs, make a proof sheet. He would put a job number on the 1/2 envelope and the proof sheet then both are filed away. The system works well. The system works well. It's been 30 years since I've worked for him and Sam is still by friend.
I have some glassine envelopes that work like Mainecoonmaniac describes. They are for 2 1/4 film. Unfortunately, I don't find them any more, nor can I find any of the glassine sleeves I used to use for 35mm. Everything is plastic now, and I worry about embedded particles scratching the film. Anybody know a source of glassine?

Those archival methods are exactly what I want
Is a shame that I threw out the sleeves that I got from my lab...
Will those fit this? http://www.printfile.com/ult35-6bxw_25.aspx
