I am not too shy not to borrow a good idea from the GTA photographers. So, here goes. I have found two alt process photographers in Saskatoon, after all one of them hosts the alt process list! (not me) however, I would like to put a list together of those interested in the alt photo processes out here, locally and within the province and perhaps those of Manitoba and Alberta.
The intent is to stimulate growth both personally and as a group in these areas. Informal get togethers to share info and techniques which can float geographically as needed however, I offer my art conservation laboratory as one potential meeting/sharing place. It is in Saskatoon and is fully equipped, fume hood, balances, the lot.
Group orders of chemicals are another possiblity.
Personally I am building a UV light source, the chemicals are ordered, and the negatives are in production. I will be working with salt paper prints, albumen prints, modern tin type and cyanotype.
