I shoot both digital and film. I started with digital, of course, but found a Miranda Sensorex at a garage sale about a year ago, and I've been shooting primarily film ever since. Both have their merits, but I choose to mainly shoot film because it's more fun.
It started with a Miranda Sensorex at a garage sale, and has evolved to at least 30 bodies and quite a bit more lenses. Some of them will never work again, but most of them have had at least one roll run through them. There are a few I use primarily though.
My go-to 35mm carryaround is a Canon A-1 with a 50mm f/1.4. I shoot it mainly in aperture priority, because it does a fine job at metering. Of course I'll shoot manual when the situation calls for it. For 35mm, I shoot whatever film I have on hand. I don't normally go out and buy film specifically. Almost all of my rolls have come from someone telling me they have some leftover from the old days, or I find good deals on ebay/craigslist. I prefer to shoot fine-grain B&W though.
After the honeymoon period passed with 35mm, I got into playing around with MF. It started with a Mamiya C33 I picked up for my girl. But a TLR is a bit too awkward to use for me. I decided that if I wanted to shoot MF, I might as well go all out. So I bit the bullet and bought an RZ67, AE prism, and 65mm lens. After deciding that was way too big to carry around, I picked up a Bronica ETR from a film camera swap meet for a nice price. That's now my carryaround. I shoot color slide film almost exclusively, but have recently fallen in love with Ektar 100. I'm also running a roll of Ilford PanF+ through my RZ, but having a hard time finding something to shoot with it.
I send all my slide and color negative film out to be developed, scan it myself with my V500, and correct the color and contrast (lost from the scan) in Lightroom, as well as dust removal and maybe a bit more light editing. As for B&W, I have all the chemicals to develop it myself, but haven't gotten around to it because I don't shoot it as much as I thought I would. I have a few rolls stacked up waiting to be developed. If I really like it, I plan on getting the full darkroom setup, with an enlarger and such.
My subjects are primarily landscape, automotive (car shows and action shots), and just generally documenting life/events.
Anyway, I hope to be a part of the community, as I haven't found much locally.
