Hey Apug!
I have been reading for a while, now posting. I'm an film-enthusiast/musician from Vermont, I shoot nature, people, and anything else along the way. Having a large library of film photographs is certainly useful when putting together music releases, or having good band pictures.
I recently released a new album, and I thought I'd share the image that was used for the album cover. None of my friends or listeners seem to appreciate this type of detail, but I love sharing photos and the process by which they were captured. This greenhouse is on a college campus in Burlington, Vermont. I used to wait around here a lot to catch a bus to Massachusetts to visit my girlfriend, usually not an exciting time.
The image was captured handheld, using my trusty Mamiya 645AF with Fujifilm 400H Pro - I believe it was the 3rd roll I ever ran through this beast. 80mm 2.8 shot wide open, I believe 1/30th - not bad for a lack of tripod.
This image later became the cover for the new 'A-C-K' EP - byPatrick McCormack (me)
If you're interested, the EP is free, follow this link. I'd love to hear feedback on the image/music! Anyone have an image they took that became an album cover? I love seeing film used for records. Thanks for looking!
