When I acquired my Omega D2, part of the package was an Airequipt 4-in-1 Easel. I would like to clean it up to sell.

I think I see how it should work. It should be possible to lift up either the 3 hole or the 1 hole face, place some photopaper in the easel, and lower the face back down to hold the paper.

I cannot get either face to release so that I can open it. I see a pair of notched metal tabs on each face on the edge away from the hinge. I've tried pulling and pushing (gently, I don't want to destroy it) and nothing releases.

What is the trick to opening it?

I can post a photo if my description is not clear, but I gather that I am limited in the total file space of photos I can have up, so I need to know how to delete the lamp housing photos I posted with my D2 question earlier.

Thanks,

4-Way Easel - Airequipt - Resolution

I don't like opening questions, finding solutions, and then not sharing them.

1) The nameplate reads 4-Way Easel - Airequipt (so that someone else searching can find this.

2) To open the easel, pinch the serrated metal tabs towards the adjacent rubber feet. A metal tab moves towards the center and the releases the hinged face.

I have used them for fifty years or more, and love them! In my mind the best 8x10 easel ever made. No fiddling with blades that invariably do not line up square.
