Air travel : Ilford dev, fix and stop in checked in luggage

Im traveling back to the country I am studying in tomorrow. Does anybody know if Ilford products such as RapidFix, Ilfostop, and Multigrade developer liquids are allowed in checked in baggage?

I presume there are certain chemicals which are not allowed and I would absolutely not store them without making sure they will not spill or leak out. But will they be removed by airport inspectors ?

I've flown multiple times with developer and fixer, never had a problem. As I mix my own developers that was the only real option, fixer I could buy locally (in the nearest city).

I recall the various versions of Rodinal are not allowed on board but not sure about others.

I had a couple bottles of Rodinal taken off of me by SAS when travelling back to Norway,

Powders should be okay, but liquids seem to attract attention.....and don't try the "it's not as caustic as Cola" argument......it doesn't work ;-)

Check bags are different from carry-ons in terms of what's allowed, too. At a MINIMUM, any liquids in check bags should be in well sealed double plastic bags, so that if the bottle leaks it won't cause a hazard (or ruin your clothes). Beyond that, check with your airline for what they do and don't permit. Just as an extreme example, in the US, it's legal to carry a gun in a checked bag, but you certainly wouldn't want to try that in a carry-on -- and there are still some "hazardous materials" you aren't allowed to check (lithium batteries outside devices, for instance). Some of those can be shipped by methods that keep them off passenger aircraft, some can only travel on the ground or sea.
