Dear all,

I hope everythings goes well for everybody.

So, i am very happy because i just found an ahel 67 enlarger.. And, i will now be available to enlarge my 6x6 negs !

The only things is that it miss the support for the gradiant filter in the carrier. I was thinking to cut a piece of glass to hold it and a piece of carton with the profile to accept the filter (ilford multigrade).

Do i need to find a special glass?

Do you think it will be ok? Any advise? If somebody has it at home, can you share a small sketch with the size of the original one.

Many thanks in advance

Do you have any idea how it should look? Photos of the enlarger may help us further along.

On a Durst it is often a sort of "tray" where you put the multigrade filters.

Dear Jerevan,

Thanks for your reply.

How it look? Mechanically, it is very easy to make, just a simple support.

My interrogation is about the area around the filter, should it be :
- dark
- transparent

In my opinion it should be dark? How are made the other enlarger?

Or should i look for big filter that i cut (not the best solution for my pocket..)

Please find a small sketch, i am not sure of the dimentions because i am not at home now.

I think that you should make the support dark. In all the filter holders I have seen it has been a dark painted metal or plastic. Just look out, so that you don't get any vignetting (if you make the hole for the filter too small).

Thanks Jerevan

Will try tonight to cut 2 pieces of wood:
- one with a hole of 8.5cm x 8.5cm so the filter will be hold on 2mm on each side.
- second one, on the top of the first one with a hole of 8.9cm x 8.9cm (wich is the size of my filter)

Thanks
