I recently picked up an Agfa Selectronic S and it's mostly working (I already shot two rolls with it) but it has a small problem with the electronic shutter. In theory, everything works - the battery test always lights up, the lightmeter is always showing a readout in the viewfinder so those parts of the circuit seem to be ok. Usually it fires at the indicated speed (it's aperture priority only). But sometimes it's like the power doesn't reach the shutter which causes it to fire at the fastest, mechanical speed. As far as I understand the shutter speed in this model is controlled by an electromagnet that holds the shutter open for the amount of time determined by the current received from the lightmeter.

I know these cameras aren't very common and I'm not asking for an exact solution, more of a general idea what could be the problem in this type of shutter and how fixable is it either at home or by a professional. This failure seems to happen more often as there's less light which is worrying me that the electromagnet is failing due to age or something like that, which from what I gather could be a problem even for a serious repairman. Or could it be caused just by some dust/oil/debris?
