Hey guys. I just used my first roll of Agfa Scala I got off of eBay. I really didn`t want to get this roll done as a slide because it becomes so limiting and I can`t do my own prints. So I finally decided to go out today and shoot with the Scala at 200 iso, to develop as a negative. I wasn`t expecting to get great pictures today, but I wanted to at least get some fall shots to test out developing it. But when I was out I got some absolutely great shots, so I was kind of worried about ruining the film by not having the development go properly. But I got up the nerve and went in anyways.
There is a lot of contention about developing it as a neg and very little information. But I went with digital truth`s time of 9 minutes at stock D-76, since I couldn`t find any better time. My results are fantastic.
So, if anybody is going to try developing Agfa Scala as iso 200, use stock D-76 at 9 minutes.
