I just started printing and was given a box of Agfa premium multicontrast rc 312 5x7 that i realy like but now it seems that it is no longer made. Is there a paper that is simular to the Agfa or am i out of luck?

The Agfa division that made consumer products, including paper, went out of business quite some time ago. Fortunately, a smaller company bought the rights to make some of their products and hired some of the expertise, and the first of their products -- resin-coated B&W papers -- is now back in production and available. If you're in the US, you can buy it from Freestyle; in Europe, it can be purchased from Fotoimpex. The new brand is Adox. Note that there are non-Agfa Adox products, but I'm not sure about the non-Agfa Adox paper lineup. Just look for something with the same product name (MCP 312 RC, in your case). The new product is very new and isn't yet fully distributed, though; IIRC, it should be available later this month. There's currently a bit of old stock Agfa paper still available, some under the Adox name.

Thank you for responding, I checked Freestyle and found Adox MCP310 VC RC 5x7. What is the differecne between the mcp312 and the mcp310?

IIRC, the 310 is glossy whereas the 312 is matte finish.

I made a mistake i my original post. I was actualy looking for the glossy but i type 312 instead of 310. I noticed the Adox box was red as was wondering if that is the Agfa paper being made by Adox now? Do you think i will get the same results from the Adox as i would from the Agfa?

If you get the very last of the Agfa-produced paper in an Adox box, which I believe is what Freestyle is currently selling, then you should get identical results if the paper hasn't changed characteristics because of age. If you get the new production, then the results might be very slightly different because it's being made in a new facility with (IIRC) a different paper base, but just how different I don't know. The differences might be so small that you'd never notice them or they might be big enough that you'd prefer some other product. You'll just have to try it and see, and keep in mind that if you get the old stock now, it'll change at some point in the future.

If you are looking for 5x7 then Ultrafine Online has the original Agfa in 310 and 312.
They repackage themselves from original Agfa stock and it is cheap.
I just bought 500 in 4x5 for making 4x5 contact prints and it is fine.
I believe they keep it in cold storage.
They are at www.ultrafineonline.com
