Does anyone here remember a special Agfa paper from long ago which was a fixed grade 7? I never used this paper would someone please let us know what it was like to work with? wat were your applications? maybe scan some samples?

~steve

It was Agfa Grade 6. Really nice for very flat negatives and some near litho type work.

Don't have any old boxes lying around and the memory isn't what is outta be but I think it was the Agfa Brovira grade 6. Sure helped out with some underdeveloped negatives with newspaper work. Great high contrast for nightclub scenes too.

Brovira 6, RIP.

Wonderful, wonderful stuff. You could use it for anything,
from Posterized FX to making normal prints from flat negs,
and making normal prints from contrasty and long scaled negs
(by soaking it in developer then exposing it as a Print Out Paper)

But it had glorious tones, and color, and I just made a negative that would fit it perfectly,
and shot portraits and fashion with it.

Brovira 6. Portriga 3. The M4 with a 35, and Nikon F with a 105. Lots of Tri X.

My wonderful BRG MGB.

I'm packed, and ready. This time I WON'T touch the punch at Commencement,
I KNOW NOW what was in it, and who put it there.

Brovira #6 helped with a lot of thin negatives when I did more available light shooting. I eventually switched to Kodabrome Ultra Hard. That paper gave far more contrast than any of the variable contrast papers or the graded Kodabromide papers.

Yes, I remember Brovira #6. Spectacular stuff, and I sure would like to get my hands on something like that again. There was no grade 7 paper.
