Anyone heard of this film? I just bought 12 bricks of 120 film and while it may be no good (not sure of refridgeration etc) thought that I might give it a try.

I have looked up the film on Google but cannot find exactly what it is.

Cheers,
Sean

I think you have an older version. The last one made being 200 RSX. Others more knowledgeable than me will be able to clarify.

Brad, I should have known I would get a response like that somewhere.

The deal also included about 30 boxes of Agfa paper, mostly fiber with some RC in there. Most of it is Agfa Insignia Baryta 111 Grade glossy, in fact most of it is labelled Baryta paper.

Sean,

See the attached scan.

As others have said this film is old. The source is a Agfa catalog from 1985.

Hope this helps

Ira

This film (RSX) is still available though under different names.

AGFACHROME 200 S

The original AGFA RSX II is currently available as ROLLEI Digibase CR200, and comes from the production site of AGFA Gevaert in Belgium. It is packed by MACO, and is also known as LOMO X 200 Pro, on offer at Lomography/Vienna.

The film will be shortly also as part of the CREATIVE EDITION as ROLLEI CROSSBIRD on the market. In addition, even in a single use camera (SUC). And perhaps, also as roll film 120. That's I know not for sure.

Cheers

Ok, I finally got a couple rolls of the AgfaChrome 200 developed and it is wonderful. I now know why a lot of landscape shooters use slide film. The color saturation and depth is truly amazing on this stuff. I will have to do a couple of scans and post them, but wow I am super impressed.

Well finally got the scans done, here are a couple of the images.

I am pretty impressed with this film. It scans a bit desaturated, but that might just be my scanner settings at this point.

Cheers,
Sean

I believe this is similar to the curent Rollei CR200 and I find that to be a wonderful film.
