AGFA 35MM COLOR FILM ?

Does Agfa still produce 'Prestige Opitma' Pro 35mm or 120 film? If so, are their any ideas where I can order this product?
I understand that Agfa still produces film in Europe. Any ideas where I may find this film?

Although there is an effort to restart production of Agfa B&W paper, as far as I know Agfa is out of business and the only film available is old stock.

There may be some confusion because Agfa was split into multiple parts (3, I think). Shortly thereafter, the part that manufactured consumer films folded. One of the other remaining parts of Agfa still manufactures film, but it's mostly for specialized markets. Some of this is getting repackaged by others (Maco/Rollei, I think) and sold to consumers, but it's not being sold under the Agfa name, and it doesn't include the old Agfa emulsions, such as the Optima or APX lines. Some of these are still available as old stock, but supplies are very limited at this point.

I have seen stocks of Agfa Vista colour neg film on the U.K. e-bay recently but it was well out of date. The claim being that it had been properly stored and the buyer was meant to infer that it should be OK which it might be, had it indeed been properly stored. Quite recently a U.K. reputable shop was selling Agfa Ultra colour neg in the clearance section but in very recent weeks this has gone.

So similar sales of Afga film may well take place on the U.S. e-bay. APX both 100 and 400 are still for sale in this shop and have been since the demise of Agfa film, so some stockists have clearly either bought large stocks or have access to large stocks at wholesale prices.

Not seen Optima for some time but I'll bet that it is still being sold somewhere. There seem to have been very large stocks of Agfa products available on closure. Both Agfa MCP RC and MCC FB are still available in some sizes at Keyphoto in the U.K. - at a price.

The Optima range was Agfa Photo's professional line of colour neg films. But they withdrew from manufacturing 120 film about a year or more before they (Agfa Photo) went bust and stopped manufacturing all film and paper. So any 120 Optima you can find will be well out of date now. The part of Agfa that still makes specialist films (survellience, aerial etc) is I believe the bit that continues in the old Gevaert factory in Belgium. It seems highly unlikely that anyone would attempt to re-incarnate the Optima films to compete with Fuji & Kodak's professional emulsions. But the Agfa black & white products are a different story and it will be interesting to see what happens with those.
