AG Photolab moves to North Shield, same address as Digitalab

My favourite lab is moving from the West Midlands (where I live) to the North East of England. I was intrigued to hear it is the same address as a current company called Digitalab. I wonder if they are the same company or has one bought the other?

Anyway, AG Photolab are ace, and I will continue to use them for my C41 developing needs.

Recently they have also been selling off their shop's stock with some significant reductions. Matt is a member here so may well respond.

I just looked at the footer of current AG Photo Lab website and it now shows © 2024 Digitalab Limited T/A Ag Photographic+Photolab. But previously Ag Photographic+Photolab was owned or operated by Specialist Photographic Ltd as show in this link https://www.crowdcube.com/companies/ag-photographic-photolab?country=GB when they were previously fund raising on Crowd Cube. I just checked Companies House for Specialist Photographic Ltd and latest accounts just filed for YE 31 Mar 24 - which anyone can do - you will see they don't make very good reading Shareholders funds 2023 £89K and 2024 Minus 84K. Let's hope we are not losing another one! Maybe Matt @ AG can provide some reassurance about whats happening and why the silence re the move as normally he is quite vocal about AG news and updates.
