I recently replaced the light seals in an AE1. I watched several videos about the subject, and thought that I understood what to do. But, there was a light leak. It presented as a vertical line a few mm from tue edge of the frame, with the leak fading toward the middle of the frame. So I imagined that it was coming from the hinge.

This is a photo of one of the worst ones.

So I re-did the hinge seals and also added one to the door latch side.
But the leak became worse.

Any ideas on how to track this down and fix it.

I think it still has the leak in the hinge sector and the light bounces on the silver rollers of the door (photo attached), acting on the frame after the film advances.

I had the same problem on a Pentax ME, until I did not seal the hinge sector correctly, it was not corrected.

Here are a couple of pics of the hinge seal area. Did I do it wrong? Any pointers?

From what I see in the photos, it is correct.
I would add felt in the places marked in the attached photo, all the way to the other end of the door.
My canon still has the original felts in place.
Another possibility is that the door deforms when closing, but I see that as very unlikely.

My AE1 program has the top piece extending as suggested here, I believe still original, it goes as far as the silver roller. None on the bottom though!
