Since you’re not expecting perfect results anyway, go out and have fun.
You will need to constrain your shots to light conditions that match the settings available on the camera. Slide film is a little more forgiving with slight under exposure than over. If you won’t be projecting the slides there is no need to get them mounted. I don’t know if cross processing it will give you more latitude, I expect it would, but I’ve not done much with cross processed E-6
I would probably rate the film at box speed and go for it. Finding a lab to process it may be the biggest challenge, but if you are up for doing it yourself, kits are available.
