I bought an
AF Nikkor 24/2.8 D from UsedPhotoPro just now. I had a 5% discount code, and 200 "points" (=cents) to spend. I really was tempted by a Sigma 24/2.8 AF, but the coatings aren't as good, and maybe not the optical design either.
It's 10° wider than a 28 mm, which is just enough for my uses, I think. I got the hood too, for an extra $12. The 20/2.8 D I had before was almost always MUCH wider than I needed.
I have a
Nikkormat FTN inbound, with which this lens won't meter unless I have The Claw added. It might be a good opportunity to brush up on my Sunny 16. It'll have full functionality on all my other Nikon bodies, including Program and Shutter Priority.
I'm looking forward to putting this lens to use. I figure this or the 35/2 will stay on one body when I'm doing street or landscape photography, while I have the 105/2.5 or a tele zoom on another body.
