Just scored an A+ condition Adox Sport 120 folder on Shop Goodwill. Can't believe the fine condition it's in for the price I paid. Shutter, aperture, bellows are all in fine condition and working order. The camera is dual format - 6x6 or a 6x9. There is a slide switch on the top plate that moves a mask in or out from the sides of the viewfinder for each format. However, there is no internal set of baffles or masks on the inside that can be moved into the film frame. No other switches or levers are visible that might actuate a 6x6 mask. Is anyone familiar with this camera that ;might shed some light on how one masks the film chamber for the 6x6 framing? Was there a built in mask that has been lost from this example or was there a separate mask piece one put in place when loading the film? Googling for a manual for this camera didn't yield any results, so any help with this would be appreciated. It would probably not be too difficult to fashion a mask from some thin but stiff sheet metal, but I'd prefer not to have to do that. Thanks for any help you can provide.

i can't speak for that camera in particular, but all the others -- zeiss super ikonta C, to cite one -- used a mask you inserted into the camera, masking off the sides of the film hole. It was sold with the camera and, I am sure, almost always put somewhere "safe" and promptly lost. I consider it a miracle that I have one for my Zeiss C.

So, unless you want to fabricate one, or construct masks out of cardboard or something, ur stuck with 6 by 9.

Thank you for your response, Summicron. Now, if I can just find my hacksaw and some sheet metal I can get started .....
