At that price I think I will stick to my usual FP4 or whatever and Rodinal!

If you can find FP4 for less than £4.00, please let me know!

I am talking about the developer not the film!

If you buy 10 x 36exp from AG it is £39.99 or £3.99 a cassette (that's what I do.) Or buy in bulk that REALLY cuts down the price.

Hi!
also available is the dedicated developer at £16.27.

Actually at a dilution of 1+29 and assuming you use the likes of DDX which many do and at the recommended 1+4 dilution then the dedicated developer works out cheaper. It is worth looking at Digital Truth's website as there is a test of Silvermax in the dedicated dev and in Rodinal and a comparison with Fomapan

Unfortunately it was compared to say Ilford D100, TMax 100, Acros or even FP4+.

There didn't see to be a lot in it and Silvermax didn't look noticeably better in the dedicated dev than in Rodinal but others' opinions may differ

Hope it's not that expensive if and when it comes available in the US. Most of what I use now I can get 15-20% cheaper.
