I recently stumbled across ADOX Nuance and thought it'd be an interesting paper to try. I set out to procure it on special order from Freestyle, but I was told it would take 30 to 60 days for the order to come in. I decided to look for alternatives, and while browsing Freestyle's site I came across another paper, Fotokemika K-888. Both of these papers have a similar description (silver rich, chlorobromide, warm paper base) and are identical in price.

Knowing that Efke/Fotokemika specializes in older emulsions, and that ADOX relies on others to coat their products for them, does anyone know if these two papers are very similar, if not identical?

Thanks.

I don't get it. K-888 has been at FS for quite a while now and is well known. Why release ADOX Nuance for MORE $ to get the same thing? People aren't that stupid these days. Another thing to add is that to my knowledge and use, K-888 isn't one to provide "nuance" to highlights but rather shadow separation. Nor do I remember 4 minutes as a recommended development time in something like Dektol. It's usually well along by ~3 minutes in something as simple as Selectol.
