It seems I cannot reach grades below 2. Is it possible that the color head has bleached out filters? Or is this normal for the paper? Has someone also determined the contrast for the Adox MCP?
I used contact copies of a step tablet according to the Analyser Pro manual. The step tablet was contact printed to the paper. The print is then compared to to a light grey and a dark grey reference tile that came with the analyser and the R values calculated (difference of the dark and the light grey tone of the step wedge)
Since the grades 1 to 00 were unsatisfactory I increased the yellow filter values. Subsequently I repeated the step tablet calibration with results shown above. I did also some finetuning with the test stripe function of the analyser. I hope I followed the procedure correctly. However I am concerned that something my be wrong with the color head.
these were the starting values I used, but I never got that contrast with the filter settings suggested with the Meopta Color 3. So I tried to arrive at the "true" values for my system...
