Thanks I now understand and do not understand if that makes sense.
They screwed up the manufacture and made lemonade out of lemons? The actual origin of this film was never revealed.
Ounce of courseSad news!
I have a solitary role donated by a kind person from the USA (I'm in the UK) and I'm saving it for the special light.
I'm almost likely to expose it using my Pen F to squeeze every last once, making 72 captures.
How does Adox stay in business? They seem to have THE most limited product line out of any photography company I have ever seen.

I had more or less given up trying to get my hands on Color Implosion, but I spoke to a retailer (who is currently out of stock, along with every on-line shop I've tried) and was informed they are expecting more in January.
Has Adox seen the light and potential sales from this amazing film and decided to start up production again? I hope so!
Well thanks trendland.
I could indeed experiment as I believe Saul Leiter once did - I read somewhere he used out of date expired colour film, possibly heat damned but I'm not sure - but the thing is I use process labs which is limiting to the extent of control over the crucial development stage. I think I'll order some of the cheapest colour film as suggested and try heat destroying a roll see what comes.
I also read somewhere that you can buy film that has been flashed with light to give the light leak effect, without having to distros the camera.
I like the random uncertainty about film. That's the thing for me. Rather than subduing grain I like to make it centre stage, hence a recent acquisition of a Pen f.
Cheers, Steve
